FOR MEMBERS:

RULES GOVERNING EXHIBITS AT MEETINGS

  1. All horticulture exhibits must be grown by the exhibitor.
  2. Unlimited horticulture exhibits may be presented.  In artistic classes, only one exhibit in each class per member.
  3. House plants may be exhibited at any meeting.  A house plant must have been in the possession of exhibitor for three months prior to exhibiting.  The same plant may be exhibited only once a year.
  4. All artistic exhibits must have been arranged by the exhibitor.
  5. To be eligible for judging, exhibits must be labeled and classified by exhibitor and must conform to the monthly schedule.
  6. Judges will score the exhibits by the point system shown below( and on page 11 of the 2009-2010 Club Yearbook.)   Entries will be judged individually on merit rather than competitively.
  7. After the judging, each exhibitor should record the total of points earned in the Club's Exhibits Notebook, and on page 15 of their Club Yearbook.

DEFINITIONS:

SPECIMEN: One bloom, stalk or spray

ARRANGEMENT: Implies the artistic use of material.

       From May through October, fresh material must predominate.

       From November through March, any materials may be used, except artificial

       flowers and foliage.  Accessories may be used in all classes.

FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD awards will be presented at the annual luncheon to the exhibitors who have accumulated the most points in the horticulture and artistic classes during the year.
